GWAS variant near NBPF3/AGPAT1 locus consistently associated with lower plasma pyridoxal-5-phosphate (PLP) levels. PLP is the active coenzyme form of vitamin B6 required for over 100 enzymatic reactions including homocysteine metabolism.
